n nAkfix HT300 is a high-performance silicone sealant developed for nsealing, bonding and repairing works where heat resistance is required. nIt is an ideal sealant for high temperature construction applications. It nreacts with atmospheric moisture to produce a tough, elastic silicone. nHT300 nGASKET MAKER n nFEATURES & BENEFITS nExcellent heat resistance after curing up to 250 °C permanently and up to n300 °C temporarily. n100% silicone, nRemains flexible at low (-40 °C) and high (+250 °C) temperatures, nResists to mechanical enforcement after curing, nAcetoxy cure, RTV silicone, nWill not crack, shrink or become brittle, nOne component. nAPPLICATION AREAS nSealing and bonding applications in automotives, nOn heating systems and ovens for sealing / tightness, nSealing and bonding in stoves, nGaskets in pumps and motors, nSealing chimneys, nOther bonding and sealing applications where parts must perform at nhigh temperatures. n nINSTRUCTIONS nEnsure that surfaces to be sealed are clean, dry and grease free. nThe application temperature must be between +5°C and +40°C. nIn order to reduce the deformations of the joints, their depth must be nmuch less than their width, minimum dimensions are 5x5 mm, for wider njoints the depth should be preferably half of the width and it is adjusted by nthe use of a backup material. nAfter the application, the sealant must be tooled with light pressure within n5 minutes to spread the material against the joint surfaces and to obtain a nprofessional finish. nExcess uncured sealant may be cleaned with solvent. Cured sealant can nbe removed barely mechanically. n6 mm. joint depth is recommended for joint widths between 6 mm to 12 mm. nJoint width and depth ratio should be about 2:1. n n
